Upbuild / MCP connector / Claude

Upbuild connector · Claude

Your ad accounts, inside Claude.

One click from the Claude connector directory, one Google sign-in, and Claude reads Google Ads, GA4, Meta, TikTok and Adobe live. Only the accounts your own login already reaches, and every tool that touches an advertising platform is read-only.

Live data in the chat

The account answers, not a spreadsheet.

Upbuild is an MCP server, so Claude calls your platforms itself: Google Ads, GA4, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, DV360, CM360, GTM, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, BigQuery and Google Sheets. Ask across three of them in one sentence and the numbers come back from the API, dated today, with the tool that fetched them named in the reply.

It reads, it never writes

Read scopes wherever a platform offers them, a server-side read-only allowlist for TikTok, and GET-only Adobe tools. Nothing Claude can call will change a budget, a tag, an audience or a campaign.

Only what your login can see

Sign-in is per person. You see exactly the accounts your Google and Meta logins already reach, and a colleague on the same connector sees theirs. No shared service account, no accounts you were never given.

Three platforms, one answer

Claude called the accounts directly. Nothing was exported, pasted or uploaded.

Summarise last month across Google Ads, Meta and TikTok: spend, conversions and CPA, and flag anything that moved more than 20% against the month before.
PlatformSpendConv.CPAvs prev
Google Adsgads_campaign_performance€128,4003,210€40.00+4%
Meta Adsmeta_insights€86,9002,470€35.18+27%
TikTok Adstiktok_report€31,250640€48.83-11%

Meta moved most. meta_insights puts it on two campaigns that launched mid-month.

Prompts that fit Claude

Long questions, many tool calls, one written answer.

The same connector runs in ChatGPT, Copilot Studio and Gemini Enterprise, and it returns the same rows in all of them. What we reach for Claude for is the long job: the audit that needs the account hierarchy first, then the campaigns, then the search terms, then GA4 to check them against, and a written finding at the end rather than a wall of tables. That is the shape of a full Google Ads audit run in Claude.

It carries the thread across calls

A question worth six tool calls gets six, in order, with the customer id from the first one carried into the last. The reply names what it ran, so you can check the working before you send it to a client.

The deliverable comes out as an artifact

Ask for the monthly review as a page and Claude builds it in an artifact you can keep editing. Paste that page into Upbuild and it becomes a dashboard that refreshes itself on a cadence, at its own address.

Five to paste on the first day

Written the way a media buyer would ask, not the way an API is queried.

Audit my largest Google Ads account: structure, budget pacing, search terms with spend and no conversions, and the five changes you would make first.
Compare last month with the same month last year across Google Ads and Meta by market: spend, conversions, CPA, ROAS. Say which markets really changed and which is noise.
Line up GA4 sessions and conversions by channel for 90 days against Google Ads clicks and conversions, and explain where the two disagree.
List every tag, trigger and variable in my main GTM container, flag anything paused or with no trigger, and write it up as a table I can send on.
Build a one-page monthly review for Northwind Retail as an artifact: spend, conversions and CPA by platform, the top ten campaigns, three sentences of commentary.

Behind the chat

The same accounts, on a schedule.

A chat answers once. The Upbuild app behind the connector keeps the answer running: dashboards that rebuild their own numbers every 30, 60 or 1440 minutes and stay restorable version by version, and exports that write rows into BigQuery, storage or a spreadsheet on the clock you set. One live organisation runs 101 of those dashboards across 859 reachable accounts.

Dashboards keep their own time

Every change is a numbered version you can open, compare and publish back. The app's own dashboard editor runs on Claude Opus 5, so the change you describe is read the same way it was in the chat.

Exports run for every account at once

One export pulls a data stream for as many accounts as you point it at, spread over the window with a cap on calls in flight, merging on the keys you name. Set it up by saying what you want.

Setup

Three steps, and nothing to paste.

Claude is the only assistant where Upbuild installs from the directory, so there is no server URL, no OAuth form and no developer mode. The full setup guide covers the same three steps with screenshots, plus ChatGPT, Copilot Studio and Gemini Enterprise. Platform by platform, we have written up connecting Google Ads to Claude and connecting GA4 to Claude.

Add Upbuild from the directory

Upbuild is in the official Claude connector directory: one click, nothing to copy. It works on every Claude plan, including Free, which allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an owner enables Upbuild for the organisation first, then each person connects on their own.

Sign in with Google

Click Connect and authorise the Google account that already has access to your platforms. That single choice decides what you will see for the rest of the connection. Meta, TikTok and Snapchat then link with one click each; Adobe uses a one-time credential setup in your own Developer Console, about ten minutes.

Ask your first question

Start a chat, check that Upbuild is switched on in the tools list, and ask. The 14-day trial starts on the first call and needs no card. Ask for billing later and Upbuild returns a Stripe link, so plan changes never leave the chat.

Before you ask us

Plans, permissions and the four things that actually go wrong.

Nothing here is exotic. Almost every support message we get about Claude is one of these four, and three of them are fixed on the platform rather than in the connector.

Which Claude plans work

Every plan, Free included, because Free allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an owner enables Upbuild for the organisation once, then each person connects with their own Google account and sees their own accounts. Seats are counted per assistant, not per connection: reconnecting Claude does not spend another one.

I do not see the accounts I expected

Upbuild only surfaces what your Google or Meta login already reaches. If an account is missing, grant that login access on the platform itself, in Google Ads or Business Manager, then ask again. Nothing needs reconfiguring in Claude, and the next call picks the new access up.

It says the connection expired

There is nothing to repair by hand. The next tool call re-prompts the sign-in and picks up scope changes on its own. TikTok is the one platform that asks again on a schedule: its authorisations expire every 30 days by TikTok's design, and the connector walks you back through it.

Which login am I actually on?

Ask Claude to run whoami. It returns the Google identity behind the connection, plus subscription and trial status. Agencies juggling client logins can hold three identities at once by adding /mcp2 and /mcp3 as separate connectors, each with its own sign-ins.
